The scope of the project is to increase train frequency at Meridian Water and unlock the development of new homes.
CPMS rail experts considered the engineering, timetabling and pedestrian flow technicalities, whilst considering the impact on the existing rail network.
CPMS also produced a feasibility report and management framework integrating stakeholder requirements. This framework allows Enfield Council a structured methodology for navigating the often-complex task of attracting third party rail investment.
The team at CPMS provided technical expertise in order to explain how and why investment would unlock development potential via increased rail capacity. Meridian Water led by Enfield Council were awarded £156m, following the support CPMS provided in Grip 1 and in building an outline busness case in partnership with ARUP for rail investment.
CPMS continue to work for Enfield Council to support the development and delivery of rail improvements, sharing the vision to use rail as a catalyst for new homes and wider regeneration.
