Manea Bridges repair project
CPMS Infrastructure is proud to have worked with Taziker on the renewal of 57 longitudinal wheel timbers across four bridges as part of the extensive Manea Bridges repair project.
The project team planned and executed the renewal in true collaborative spirit with Network Rail. The works were carried out over multiple back-to-back weekend possessions between September and December – to minimise disruptions to both freight and passenger train services on this busy line – and involved managing the challenges caused by working in a SSSI area and the regular passing of engineering/works trains through the site.
CPMS Infrastructure supported Taziker with Construction Project Management, Engineering and Site Management expertise.
The Manea Bridge project recently completed its final possession, prior to full restrictions on the SSSI being put in place, with all high priority works having been completed successfully within the agreed timeline and short access window.
We look forward to the next phase of delivery in the summer and want to congratulate Taziker, Network Rail and the wider supply chain on the successful completion of this safety critical phase of the Manea Bridge repairs.
