CPMS recently provided consultancy services to housing association L&Q by managing the design and asset protection interface with Network Rail.
L&Q (a residential developer and housing association) is developing a site on South Grove in Walthamstow. Due to the proximity of the site to the railway they were obliged to seek outline design approval from Network Rail (infrastructure owner and guardian) before starting construction as part of a mandatory asset protection agreement. L&Q and their designers were unfamiliar with Network Rail requirements and timescales, so they approached CPMS to translate, support and streamline the process.
CPMS estimate that our expert knowledge of the railway helped save L&Q up to six months in lost time, with associated delay costs of around half a million pounds due to savings in contractor prelims.
