International Women in Engineering Day
23 June 2020
CPMS joined in the celebrations of Women in Engineering Day by speaking to our own female employees about their careers, to help raise the profile of women engineers and encourage more people to consider engineering as a profession for all.
"I have worked with engineers for over 20 years, they are the innovation to the goals we need to succeed in. They shape our future and our minds for the up and coming generations to come." - Sarah Mills, Handback Manager
"I've chosen to work in the engineering industry as it allows me to reach my potential and have a career that is varied, interesting and challenging. I like that you'll work with so many interesting people from different walks of life who are experts in their own field and you learn something new everyday." - Becky Gray, Project Manager
"I studied Engineering as I was passionate about wanting to make a difference and contribute to society. Today, at times like this, working in an engineering field and the railway industry has made me realise that keeping the railway operational plays a vital role in transferring goods to support the economy, the NHS and help put food on the table". - Farah Sajwani
