Mental Health Awareness Week 2020
21 May 2020
The Mental Health Foundation have chosen the theme of Kindness this year. This theme has been chosen because kindness unlocks our shared humanity and is crucial to our mental health. It has the potential to bring us together, particularly in times of great stress.
For many of us, work is a major part of our lives and is where we spend much of our time. Having a fulfilling job can be good for your mental health and general wellbeing. Figures published in the government’s Thriving at Work report revealed that mental health-related absenteeism costs 300,000 people their jobs a year in the UK.
With that statistic in mind we are very proud that we put our people first at CPMS, providing a culture that allows everyone to thrive.
Research has shown that acts of kindness can help improve emotional wellbeing. That is why during Mental Health Awareness Week CPMS employees have been taking the time to write messages of appreciation to their colleagues. A simple act of kindness to brighten a colleagues day.
